Awd.Ltd is a firm of Building surveyors and project managers that operates throughout Tanzania and Zanzibar Isles from its base in Dar-es-salaam. Our aim is to provide excellent design, project management and surveying services from a single point, managed and executed quickly and efficiently.

Awd.Ltd specialises in refurbishment projects where we believe that our combination of Surveying Buildings and architectural design can provide added benefit to our clients. Our Surveyors are very strong in the functional aspects of buildings and in contract administration. Awd.Ltd brings the added ingredient of design flair and problem solving, whilst our Project Managers ensure that the project runs smoothly and on time.

At Awd.Ltd, for refurbishment projects, we prefer to provide a comprehensive Project Management lead service in which design, cost control, quality and programme management are treated as a unified whole. This results in a more nimble approach and a more accountable one. Building surveyors play a key role in refurbishment projects with our understanding of building defects, building technologies, repair techniques and commercial realities. Whilst recognising the importance of good design, we try to give equal weight to project delivery.

The nature of the work may range from the design of large structures to modest adaptations and repairs, and sometimes includes working with buildings of architectural or historic importance.

We may be called upon to give evidence in court in cases where building regulations have been breached and as expert witnesses on building defects and dilapidations.
